Privacy policy

Wicro welcomes you to its website and appreciates your interest in our company and in our products and services. Wicro values your privacy. Therefore, Wicro considers it important to inform you how we handle your personal data.

General

This privacy statement applies, inter alia, to all personal data left by visitors to Wicro’s website. During a visit to our website, you may be asked to provide your personal data. It is your choice whether or not to do so. When you leave your data on the website, you agree to this privacy statement.

Processing of personal data

Data you provide to Wicro through the website is processed by us for a variety of business purposes. When you request or give information via the website, we ask you for data such as name, contact details, etc. We expect you to provide us with correct data. Wicro processes this personal data only in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and as of May 25, 2018 in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

If you apply for a position through Wicro’s website, your personal data will be processed for the registration, handling and processing of your application. Your data may also be used for sending digital newsletters, provided you have given your express consent to do so. Part of the processing is that your data may be forwarded to one or more of the companies belonging to Wicro, insofar as this is necessary or relevant for handling your request or application. Your consent to such processing may be revoked at any time.

We store applicant data for up to six months after the application period has ended at the latest. If you have given your consent that we may retain your data so that we can inform you of future job openings, we will retain your data for up to one year after the application process has ended. You may revoke this consent at any time by contacting the Human Resources Department at hrm@wicro.nl email address.

Wicro only stores and uses data that is provided directly to Wicro or for which it is clear at the time of provision that it will be provided to Wicro. Wicro does not retain your data longer than strictly necessary. Wicro may retain anonymized data for statistical and research purposes. Wicro has implemented appropriate security measures to prevent the loss, unauthorized use or alteration of any information provided by you.

Personal data can therefore only be obtained by us because you have provided it to us yourself. For example, consider the situation when you request documentation, provide contact information or – if applicable – make a purchase. If you have purchased a service from us or have provided us with your e-mail address, we use your personal data to keep you informed and inform you about our (new) products and/or services. You can unsubscribe from this at any time via the unsubscribe option at the bottom of the email or by contacting website@wicro.nl.

Each visit to the Wicro website automatically recognizes your (temporary) IP address and, if possible, the website of origin. Wicro does not store and use this data as individual (personal) data, but only to analyze the navigation and pages visited in order to improve the awareness, functionality and content of the website.

Sharing of information

Wicro will not share the information you provide with third parties unless:

  • You have given direct, express personal consent to do so;
  • The sharing with third parties of this data is necessary under a contract entered into between you and Wicro.
  • Sharing with third parties is necessary to mention pre-contractual measures in response to a request from you, where these measures are necessary for the conclusion of a contract. This includes a job application to Wicro or to an affiliate of Wicro.
  • Wicro must comply with a valid legal request, including subpoenaing or being subpoenaed, complying with a court request or initiating legal
    proceedings, or
  • Wicro believes that you are in violation of the rules of use on the Website.

You have the right to request us to:

  • access your personal data;
  • have your personal data completed, corrected or deleted;
  • oppose the processing of your personal data;
  • restrict your personal data; and/or
  • transfer your personal data to you or a third party.

These rights are not absolute. We will assess your request in accordance with the Data Protection Act or, as of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation. We will provide you with information about the actions we have taken in response to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within one month of receiving your request. We may extend this deadline by two months due to the complexity of your request or the number of requests we receive. We will inform you in that case. You have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority at any time.
